white throated sparrows

I've got a nice little flock of them that moved in a couple days ago, 8 of them on the porch right now, feeding with the juncos. Cool birds...pretty too.

We had a couple nesting in our pole barn eaves last year...wonder if any of this group would be the younguns?

White-throated's were here last week and as the week went on they were intermingled with white-crowned. They skidaddled and the white-crowned are still here. Waiting for some Harris sparrows and then it'll be oriole time. smile

I was looking at Dotch's list and relized I saw a new bird for me on Sunday. I have had white throateds covering my ground for a while now and thought one I saw was maybe just a youngster but it turns out to be a white-crowned. Cool!

I also had one that was smaller than those with a red top of it's head. Ideas what that one would be? I can check the camera to see if I have a picture of that one.
