A seasonand onward thru the season results-success-birds seen

How was hunting compared to last year? birds seen,bird activity? Hunter competition and please zone you hunted?

I am hunting the B season and activity has been slow with little gobbling where I am at in zone 508. Seems like lot more hunters than previous years. Wheres there is turkey's there is hunters.

I hunted 508A around Cambridge and never saw another hunter or truck parked anywhere. The bird numbers are way down from 3 years ago plus they were still in the wintering areas. I was able to take mine opening morning at 9:30 but that was the only gobbler making any noise that morning.

I would give it a week of this nice weather before to really form a opinion though because the birds are sticking to small areas and haven't broke up yet.

Laker are you hunting public lands? Your season is all during the week and is normally the least pressured season of the year.

Much of it is public,also it is around the Mille lacs area and birds are limited,so if you have birds,probably going to be hunters. Also with this snow,they are spread out different than a normal year.
