Made this for my Dad

I just completed a rod for my Dad. It is his Father's Day and Birthday gift from his three sons. He is anxiously waiting to see it and give it a good workout on Rainy this summer. It is a Rainshadow CB70MH 7'-0" with EVA split grip and aluminum reel seat.

Thanks for you comments. Here are a couple more shots of the guides. There is not thread between the two footed ones. I used three(3) double footed guides for the reduction train and ran singles for the running train.

Nice rod. I just got myself my first higher end rod(not close to your's you made). So then that obviously leads me to looking at making my own rod which I wouldn't be able to do because of being a quadriplegic. I like how the process and the effort it takes to make a good rod. I can see the love you put into this one for your dad. Awesome job!!

Thanks for those kind words. Us kids gave it to Dad this past weekend and I must say he was speechless for a few minutes and is looking forward to using it very soon.
