Tim Moore
I spent the morning on Lake Winnipesaukee ice fishing for panfish. I caught some giant pumpkinseeds. I started in 50' of water and drilled holes in a zig zag pattern, working my way across a bay, and ending up in 24' of water. Some of the pumpkinseeds measured 9 1/2" and one measured 9 3/4" (my personal best). This was a day that I would not have stayed on the ice if it wasn't for my Scout TC. It was windy with blowing snow but I was not only out of the weather, I was comfortable which allowed me to focus on technique. There was 18" of ice where I fished in Moultonborough. I was using Dave Genz True Blue ultra light combos and a Jason Mitchell 24" meat stick combo. 4.5mm Neutral color tungsten jigs tipped with spikes and Maki Plastic were deadly.
