Andy Kurth and I went out.

10 am until 1pm a waste of time.

It picked up a little after that.

Andy landed 8 browns. The biggest was 15ish.

I landed 4 little browns.

I now remember why i hate early season.

The deep snow and cold

Mandatory catch and release

Frozen deep pools where they congregate.

Sent my new camera back to Sony today.

IT SUCKED...RX 100 not worth money.

Searching again for new camera.

PC Mag recommended it as top point and shoot digital.

I bet they got lots of money to say that untruth.

I wish I could send my left knee and back to Sony for replacement also.

Olympus stylus tough is a great camera. I use it as a backup/under water cam in addition to the olympus e-620 (NOT WATERPROOF).

Tough fishing this weekend... but I didn't see any frozen pools. All the pools I saw that were fishable were... open.

well, one was glaze ice but it was against the bluff which was blocking mr sun sun mr golden sun. Never came out from behind that tree.

MN on WI OPENER:

I had a pretty good couple of hours today. Fished two different streams during the afternoon. Was expecting them to be all deep in the pools. Not the case at all, caught them around structure, at the tail/heads of pools, and some in the pools. Most fish caught were pretty aggressive, a few had to be coaxed from deeper water with a slower approach.

This ones got some nice turns

All in all landed 14 Browns between 9-15in. Also missed/lost plenty of fish. Was fishing a 1in swimbait, as you can see in this one.
