fish4u Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 Many years ago when i was just a kid my folks were farmers and the stores in town were open till 9:00pm on friday nights thats when we went to get our shopping done. Back then i got 50 cents allowence i would go in the sports shop and look at this one decoy i just had to have it was made by the Randall co. in Wilmar Mn the price was $4.95 molded right in the lead fins it is 16in long. I was saving my money about 2 weeks before Christmas i had the money saved i went in to buy it it was GONE i was just sick you know how a kid can be the best thing was my dad bought it and i got it for Christmas i got a lot of fish with that decoy it is one of best in my collection just wanted to share FISH4U Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fish4u Posted March 2, 2013 Author Share Posted March 2, 2013 Gordie My brother and i had a 4x8 fishhouse with 2 holes with a decoy that size it looked pretty big down there if you droped it to the bottom and played it pretty fast you could whip it into the other hole sure could make him jump if he was half asleep. the one thing that seemed odd with that decoy was the amount of walleyes that would come in to it. the decoy is retired now FISH4U Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jasonmichalski Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 a friend of mine used to make/own ratman lures in Rose City he brought out the famous Bud Steward, he used to catch a ton of big walleye on 10" and 12" natural hammerhandle crank baits.
