Gasoline Quick Coupling

Boss Hogg

Question

I want to make a 2nd "extended fuel tank" for my Honda 2000 generator. I already have a 6 gallon but also want a 3 gallon. My problem is that I can't find a quick coupler to match the one that I have. I can find quick couplers for air comprssors but they are different. My option would be to change both fuel lines with air compressor fittings.

My question is: Would air compressor fittings work inplace of gasoline fittings??? Or, does somebody know where I can get a gasoline quick coupler??? I don't want the Marine type connection. Thanks

I would think the boat tank connectors would be your best and safest bet. Don't expect any insurance company to pay for any property or bodily harm that may result in using non-code fittings. wink

Honda uses the type of connection you describe, (similar to air), possibly will mate to what you have now. Otherwise look at McMaster-Carr, an industrial supply house that carries ones made by Colder and others made for volatile liquids.
