Need help pairing a good reel with my medium rod.

I need to find a good reel under 50 dollars to pair up with my Ugly Stik rod. Here are the rod's specs (not sure if most of the info is necessary, but I decided to put in the complete information just to be safe):

SPL 1102, 6'0" (1.83M), Medium (6 - 15 lb. line)

So what would be a good reel for walleye and northern? I'm mainly using for cranks and live bait rigging. Thanks guys!

Sounds like a good spot for a shimano sienna. Or a Abu Garcia cardinal. Both come in various sizes and have decent drags on them. If you dig deeper presidents are a great reels for the dough

Like Dan said, the Abu or the Shimano are both good reels. Most of the Pfluger Presidents I have seen are right around the $60-70 mark, they are worth the couple extra bucks imo.

+ 1 for the pflueger presidents. There are online auctions where you can get them for under $50.

+2 President reel. Was out with it tuesday with -30 wind chill and handled 20" smallmouths flawlessly. Awesome reel for the money.
