Tom7227
As you review the proposed legislation concerning firearms it is helpful to understand the system in which they are presented. In proposed legislation existing language that is going to be removed is struck out with a line through the language that is to be removes. That looks like this.In the proposed legislation new language that is going to be added is underlined. That looks like this.If the language is not underlined or struck out then it is the working of the law as it now stands. If you want to check on existing laws you can go here and plug in the number in the box where is says “Retrieve by number”. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/pubs/If you want to read a proposed bill you can find it here. http://www.leg.state.mn.us/leg/legis.aspxThe proposed bill, or bill tracking system, has a number of features that allow you to track when hearings take place, follow changes in the proposal, and get a short review of what the proposal is supposed to accomplish. You have to mess around a bit to figure out how all that works.
