unclewhoo
I have 110 hook up for my fish house. I have the generator sitting in the back of my truck. When I run the generator I get interference on the vexilar. If I sit the vexilar on a 5 gallon bucket the interference goes away.Just wondering why this happens? Gissert
A generator will throw off some RF energy - they can also cause interferance on am radios. I suspect the fish house wiring lacking a good ground may be the primary culprit. The wiring can act as a big antenna and radiate RF that the transducer or cable may pick up. The bucket may function as an isolater/insulator. I like to run my vex on top of a bucket anyway, makes it easier to pull the transducer when pulling up a fish. mojogunter
Try using a resistor type spark plug that may solve the issue. I know if a snowmobile rides by that does not have resistor plugs it causes interference on tv screens it may do the same thing to the vexilar
