Porting a track?

2 Reasons for porting a track are to lighten the rotating mass and faster 'dumping' of the snow from the under carriage.

I see it in the Mtns on a few machines but not many.

You don't see it here in the 'flat land' mostly because it shortens the life of the track, I hear they can't take high speeds for long periods of time.

What are you up to LEECH?????? coolwhistlegrin

Bored tired waiting for some good snow and or ice and no good projects it sounds like I can do until then! wink

I think I did see a pic of one track that came apart and it looked like it delamed right at one of the holes? frown

So maybe I will skip that project! wink
