Big Bite Baits "Warmouth"

I had some luck with this bait this year, but was wanting to know, if anyone else fishes it, what you use for jig head, size and style. I was using a 2/0 shakey head with the screw lock. It seemed to work, however within a number of casts it would bunch up. I twitch the bait back to the boat and let it fall. Shakey head jigs may not be the best for how I fish it...

Great bait if you haven't used it. I only rig mine "flat side up" if that makes sense. Not sure if it could be fished like a normal bait as the hooks wouldn't penetrate properly.

I tried these and did ok, but not markedly better than with a Beaver, and never got around to picking up any more once the first pack I had was gone... But it's a cool bait none the less.

I rigged mine on a Northland Jungle Loc jig, and it worked very well...

I tried them last year when they came out. Same results as RK. I had a few fish but I caught more fish on plane ol' beavers. I was mainly texas rigging them on weedlines and tried pitching them into thick cover. They look nice but the price doesnt justify the few fish Ive caught on them.

Didnt get a chance to try it last year, but I thought it would make a great follow up bait, i.e. its dying/fluttering action. It would also make a nice action to throw at schooling fish that are busting on shad towards/on the surface. I smacked the northerns and smallies with them. Of course, that was in Ontario where everything works.

Rigging them seemed to be the challenge, i.e. finding a hook with a long enough shaft with enough gap to keep them straight.
