fluorocarbon coated line

Wondering if anyone has any experience using fluorocarbon coated line for ice fishing. Was considering giving the P-Line floroclear line a try this year. I know they offer the floroice line as well, but I found a pretty good deal on the floroclear at a local dealer and wanted to get some opinions before I spooled it up. I also heard the floroice is the same stuff as the fluroclear but marketed as an "ice line" and sold on a smaller spool but just as pricey.

I ended up getting a spool of floroclear and will be giving it a shot. I was mistaken and thought the floroclear was going for $7/spool but that was for the CX premium. The floroclear was $10 for 300 yards which is cheaper than buying the 100 yard spools of floroice. I look forward to giving this line a try as I have heard a lot of good about it.

just an opinion here....

iv dabbled into the realm of floro coated line and this is my conclusion.

why buy floro over mono? I say because floro is less visible under water than mono and that equals more fish in the boat/ice.

fluorocarbon coated line is mono with a fluorocarbon coating and there for less visible than mono but not half as clear as 100% fluorocarbon.

maybe what im saying is nonsense or maybe I have the wrong idea about coated line but I get more hits on 100% fluorocarbon than mono...
