Changing color of lx-5

Could a person change the LEDs in a marcum lx-5 to different color? Would it be hard to do? I like the color of the vx-1 much better.

  As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that. If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
