Wolffy
Well i bought one off from hsolist and just got it today it is used and the seller did not mention that the knob to adjust the gain/zoom was broken off and super glued back on. I'm sure i will be returning it to him. I was just wondering if maybe there would be an easy fix to this problem. From what ive gathered off from this site is that humminbird does not sell replacement parts, they just have you said it in and they repair it. Id be willing to buy a $15 switch to fix it but im not going to pay them the $100 to do it. Anyone have any ideas, or should i just get my money back? Jim Uran
It's broken completely off and there is no way to rig it up?
scott b
Does it work, and how much did you pay? At least get a discount for the lies. It's called the lemon law unless he said as is.
Wolffy
He said the pictures are of actual item, and also that the item was gently used. The knob is not visibly broken in the pictures because its glued back on and no there is no way to rig it up because the piece is broken inside a hole. The knob is glued on it does not turn and you can not push it, the only thing you can do is flap it down a little because its only glued on the bottom. This is a knob to adjust the gain, and is also a button. I also asked him if it works before bidding and he said yes. Its kinda hard to use a flasher if you cannot adjust the gain, zoom, and noise reduction.
bbfenatic
I'd say you need to demand your money back and return it to him, if he does not comply paste his name all over here so the word gets out to everyone on HSO not to buy anything from the loser. That would be so frustrating for anyone.
broman
Since you mentioned bidding, it sounds like you bought if from e - b - a - y. Look up their protection policy and follow the instructions listed.
amateurfishing
if it was e site, you can make a grivence to them online through your purchase history, if c list or somewhere else then u may be sol as it is usually buyer beware and another one of the reasons i never purchase used online unless 30-40% of retail or brand new with warranty
Wolffy
Its OK he's going to give my money back. He tried to tell me it wasn't like that when he shipped it but I looked at his picture real close and You could see the knob kinda dangling. He offered to give me $20 to fix it or to send it back for refund. And yes it was the big auction site. So if anyone sees a humminbird ice 35 on there for a good deal becareful and ask questions.
