eskimo3/shappell

Looking for opinions on which is the better quality product for a gift, an Eskimo 3 or the Shappell 6500(?)both are similar size with Shappell being a bit bigger.

Can't speak for the Chapell, but I've had my Eskimo QF3 for five years now and it's still in great shape. Very pleased with it.

I just sold my QF3 after nine years of fishing out of it and is was in ok shape. Not a bad unit for a guy looking for a used one.
