String light problem

Have the 39" string I bought last year, and the last 3 lights on the string went out. Any ideas if it is repairable, or just live with it. Not even a year old yet.Thanks

I have a similar problem on both light strands I have. Both the 48 and 39 light up about half way. I can play with the one to get the whole thing to light up, but its definitely annoying when I got them in January and only used them for 2 months.

I would guess that the contact wire from light to light has a tweak in it and by bending it, you make the connection. I tie strap all my light strings on the poles so they cannot bend and damage the wire in the light string. Just an extra precaution I take.

Not sure if one can cut into the light string to repair it if that is the issue.

If they were only used 2 times, maybe contact the company you purchased them from.

May be a bit past the warranty now as they sat since you put them away for the summer.

Make sure the battery has good juice. I noticed when my battery was going dead some of the lights didnt work.

Same thing happened to mine. Though, I found out this fall, that only 3 lights on the 39" string work now. And each 19" string I have only work to the half way mark. Only one full season on them, and then stored the shack. I'll be trying the Clam Light bars this year.

The older version did not handle well when bent, especially in the cold.

It says right on their return policy they do not accept used products, so pretty sure I'm SOL. Found some more heavy duty ones from another company I'll probably try instead. Not going to spend another $67 bucks plus shipping on lights that last 2 months.

I'm going on 3years with the light strip i bought here. Powered by 3 AA batteries, maybe 6' long? Few bulbs out, but i know its from excessive damage. Might have paid $12 + Shipping. Usually put batteries in it once a year...and I fish a LOT.

I have 2 sets of Fireright lights in my Canvas Craft portable and I have never had 1 issue with either,

They are zip tied to the poles so they cannot bend.

IMO, great lights.
