96trigger
As long as there is not a firearms season going on, you should not need it. Some areas still have firearms seasons going so check the regs. Wouldn't hurt to wear some to the stand, take it off when you get there. MUSKY18
As Trigger said, you will not need to wear it if you are hunting in an area that no longer has an active firearms season going. During the muzzy hunt you will need to wear your blaze orange. Also, the new law requires that you wear at least a blaze orange hat walking to and from your stand so you don't get shot by small game hunters. KG243
Actually as a new reg this year you need to wear an article of blaze orange clothing as long as you are not stationary. This is out of the regs book. Small Game Seasons: You may not take small game unless a visible portion of atleast one article of clothing above the waist is blaze orange, except when hunting wildturkeys, migratory birds, raccoons, predators, when hunting by falconry, trapping, orwhile hunting deer by archery while stationary. Actually you do not have to wear blaze orange if there there is no gun season in progress unless you are small game hunting. Deer are considered big game so no orange required while archery huntling unless gun is open. you do not have to wear a blaze orange hat walking to or from your stand unless you are shooting small game while doing this. KG243
The key point is while stationary, you are not stationary while walking and you are bow hunting for deer so one article of orange it is. Its what it says, new this year. I talked to a CO and they have confirmed it.
