If you wanna make your way over to Sakakawea, I'll put you on the most big fish you'll ever see. I've had an incredible year of tipup fishing. Only been out a few times but I've got several 15-18lbs, a bunch of 10-14s, and there are as many 5-8lbers as there are snakes in a metro lake. Ive been averagine around 4-5 flags an hr, and almost every fish is over 6lbs. The big fish are coming from 5-7fow. It's not real clear where I'm fishing but I bet you could make due. And with a limit of 5 daily, a guy could get enough filets for the winter in a weekend. I might even be willing to share my spot with ya...

Are you guys driving out on the ice in MI?

A few places there driving we have 7-14" depending on the lake, its good clear ice.
