Fuji alconite or Recoil Titanium Guides

I dont think you'll notice much of a difference if having alconite guides on a noodle or spring bobber rod vs a solid carbon graphite.

Save money and put on the alconites for noodles rods and spring bobber or tripwire style rods. After all your just watching the bobber and not really feeling the rod.

For solid carbon blanks definitely go with the recoil guides for increase lightness and sensitivity.

Another vote for the Recoil guides. Alconite are great if you are making a casting or spinning rod, especially with braided lines, since they are very resistant to friction and wear. But on an ice rod where line speed is not a factor, the Recoil guides will be more durable.

I just got my custom Thorne bros quiverstick with outside recoils. That is one light rod. Betting its around a half ounce. They have a big eye without being a huge guide which is nice. If you don't care about cost id get them. Also they are probably stronger than most guides due to being Titanium and there's no insert to ever fall out. I vote recoil
