Blaze brand lures at Farm and Fleet

Anyone used Blaze brand lures? Farm and Fleet had a box of lures that looked like a knock off of the Rapala jigging rap. They were a couple dollars cheaper. I didn't buy any but was curious as to how they work.

If these are the same ones sold at Wally World they are junk. The paint chips off super easy and the hooks werent very good either. When it comes to jigging rap type lures I go #1 with rapala and #2 moonshine glows.

They may look the same but in my experience with most look-a-likes, you get what you pay for. There is a reason they are cheaper.

The only reason I was even interested was because the plastic skin on my expensive Rapalas are cracking pretty bad. I'm afraid the tail fin will eventually break off. Where the knock offs are painted instead of coated with a plastic skin. I only have 2 jiggin raps that weren't used too much until this summer when I used them for crappie fishing.

Some of their summer line is ok, I have had decent luck on the topwaters. Like others have said, the hooks are cheep, in the long run you realy do get what you pay for. There is a reason they are cheeper than Lindy, Rapala and Northland, because of the cheep quality paint and materials used to make them.

Btw, the tail fin on the raps can be repaired with the same epoxy used on rod guides
