Im also a arctic warrior fan too. nothing like fighting the fish with a rod in ur hand. i have a rod for crappie, perch, eyes and northern depending what i am after. all with there own base on them.

I agree with Jasper, fun times when you get a big grid of tip ups set out on a good northern spot and take turns on flags. We've brought a fire pit out before (need thick ice obviously) and had some beers and dogs while waiting. Great way to fish with kids when it's warmer outside.

I love fishing with tip ups. I typically only panfish with one hole, so I often set out a tip up as well. Nothing more fun than having a kid pull in a northern.

I must be doing something wrong when i put mine out. I usually have one tip up out when im fishing in the house with a rod. But have only had a couple flags go up in my time of fishing and maybe only pulled one fish out of a hole. I dont know if i dont have a good/right rig on but i know im on fish/northerns when im out there cause the spots are where i catch them in the fall. But hopefully this yr will change haha.

WOW, fishing without tip ups is fishing blind. They let you check different depths and stay warm in the house.

If you like fishing tip ups. You should try tip downs. My son and I love it for crappie fishing. We set up in a crappie area and in WI we can get 4 tip downs going while we both jig as well.

It is fun to run to the tip down.
