bullett
Im not sure of the rules about trapping so I need your help. I was pheasant hunting on a WPA area and came across two raccoon in traps that were twenty yards apart. I was sure glad I got my dogs out of there before they seen them. This was at 9:30 in the morning. Then I came back at 12:30 to see if the raccoons were still there in the traps and they were. I really dont know the rules for trapping but I think I did the right thing and left the area. I would appreciate some comments about this. TylerS
What are you concerned about? Seems legal to me, but without know the trap sets, if they were labeled, what type of traps, etc., it's pretty hard to pass judgement...
mwal
You must check traps once every 24 hours. And tampering with a trap or its catch is not legal so you did the right thing. If 24 hours go by and they are still there a phone call to the local CO may be in order.Mwal
