Caesarfishinguytoo
First off! Let me say FINALLY!!! We got Snow!!! Now lets get another 6 inches plus a week to add this base we have!! BRRAAAPPP Anyway, onto my problem. I have a 2001 Yamaha SX700R and this year the gas mileage has gone way down?!?! I used to get 100 - 120 miles from a tank of gas and now I am getting 80 miles from one tank. I know pretty much nothing about snowmobiles, so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,GeorgeBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!! Eric Wettschreck
Put a shot of seafoam in your gas tank. That will likely solve your problem.
Captain Ken
Change the plugs lately?------------------Captain Ken Kesslerwww.captainken.comwww.muskieschool.comGuiding in Illinois and North East Minnesota847-970-9108 Illinois218-742-4680 Minnesota
Surface Tension
We have snow this year. Running in powder is a bigger load on the engine and your going to burn more gas. If you ride like you have a triple 700 80 miles to the tank isn't unheard of.
sledhead
all very good points. V-max's are good for plugging up the air jets on the back of the carb's with belt dust. Remove your air box. if the carbs are coated black on the bottom edge you need to clean the air jets out. usually can just spray the carbs out with carb cleaned with out removing them. LocalGuide
Thats what I get on my sled. I have a 1995 Z 440. And I range around 90 miles per tank and it costs about $13 to fill it up every time. Just for once cant gas be cheap again.------------------AKA PikeEye
