William O'Brien/ Interstate Park

I posted this in the croix forum also but figured here gets more traffic.

I'm thinking about planning a camping trip in early summer(JUNE). How navagable is the Croix in these areas during late spring and early summer? I have a 17.5 deep-v fish and ski type boat w/ a 115, will this work? Or would I be better off with the 14 foot tiller?

Also how are the parks set up for family entertainment? Playgrounds, etc.? Is one better fishing than the other? I may need some pointers on the fishing in the future! Thanks in advance for any help!

William o'brien is great for family fun! They have a swimming beach, bike/hiking trails, an interpretive center, and they do shows and such. But you better book it now, otherwise you'll be waiting for summer of 2014.

If its any thing like years past the 14 foot with tiller with out a doubt for William Obrien. The water is really down right now and who knows by spring but I have fished that area a lot out of a canoe. Book early when the reservations first open.
