onthefly
Anyone ever hunted this lake? Looks impossible to access. Reports seem unreal. It's a refuge, but looks legal to hunt.

mallardnwalleye
No legal to hunt unless you native... even then maybe not. State refuge and is no tresspsassing during duck season I believe. Major leauge illeagal to shoot on. Old timers who are long dead used to talk about huge shoots on it and hole in the bog. It's been a refuge for a long time and the counts are 100,000 to 200 thousand + each year. If you are wondering ... Where are all the ringers?.... they would be on drumbeater or Rice Lake NWR typically. Sometimes refuges are good if you are very very close to them and sometimes they are bad if you are kinda close as they LOCK the birds up.Word from the north country is low numbers of shooting on ringers last year and as of a week ago this year.
