Have people received paper copy of Doe permits?

Recommended Posts

According to DNR HSOforum I receeved a doe permit for my area, however, I have not received an actual tag in the mail. Have they mailed the permits yet or should I contact the DNR about getting a new one sent considering we are two weeks away from opener? Thanks

not really, sorta.

We all need to go buy a license to go hunt deer and that license comes with a main tag. If a person wins the lottery in a doe lottery area then their main tag is good for either a doe or a buck. So, the postcard in the mail isn't your tag. It justs says that you may now use your tag on an antlerless deer if you choose.

Buying a license is required, you needed one to apply for an antlerless tag; however, the back of the card states: "This postcard is your antlerless permit and must be with you while hunting."

We need to carry both the deer tag and white postcard.
