Rod ideas

Recommended Posts

I made a rod for the Twist of Fate Physically Challenged hunt I guide for that was auctioned of a month or so ago.

Numerous people really liked it so I thought I would build another for next fall.

The last one I made for this had red cedar grips, deer antler cut down for a reel seat and a few decals. They loved it and it sold for $400. I was going to build it on a SC4 St Croix blank but went with a Avid as I was afraid the added expense of the blank would not bring enough added funds over the cost of the Avid blank.

Lets here some ideas as I am willing to build about anything within reason as this rod will be auctioned off again.

Thanks for any ideas.

Make one that looks like the Hamburgler... He is coming back!

Actually the one you made sounds pretty sweet!! Have any pics of it? Sumac is pretty cool too, not sure on the durability of it, but you can cut down a sumac and push the center out with a coat hanger, and you can carve it like crazy...
