Snow Conditions

Hello from kabetogama,, We got snow last night, and with what we had riding should be pretty darn good up here. We lost a little with the warm snap, but we had very good trails before that. All the lake trails are staked in the Park and the groomers will be running today. Probably as good a conditions as anywhere in the Midwest right now. Happy New Year Fishkab

Getting more snow in the Ely area. Area lakes are stakes and riding lakes is safe. Supposed to get 3-6 inches tonight. Should make for great trails, but even with little snow, the lake riding is great. Heading north, to Crane Lake and Voyageurs is always good riding on the lakes. Portages may be rough, but riding lakes is better than no riding.

Here in Ely we got 5" of new snow, and are supposed to get another 6" by Wednesday. Tower got some snow, but the closer to the Laurentian Divide, the less snow.

Snowmobiled the lakes from Ely to Vermilion yesterday. The lakes are great, but the portages are a bit rough.

Today snowmobiled the Tomahawk Trail. It was great! Looking forward to a real winter with lots of snow and lots of snowmobiling.
