manderso20819
I plan on going out Goose Hunting Saturday morning and with the current weather forcast it sounds like there is a chance of rain. I have had good luck duck hunting in rain and overcast weather. But somebody at work told me yesterday that geese won't fly when it is raining. What is your guys experience with rain and goose hunting? Go Hunting or Stay home and watch the Sportsman Channel?

CANOPY SAM
Your coworker is wrong. GO hunting! If it's cold and rainy they may fly a little later in the morning, but they'll still fly. And they tend to want to get into the fields ASAP!
Finlander
Go hunting! If it's lightning forget it!
BrdHunter01
Stay home! I've never had much luck in the rain. They don't seem to like to fly. If there was a front moving in and that rain was going to turn to snow.... Then I would go hunting. Keep dry and stay at home for this thunderstorm
Musky Buck
Get out there, I have a field lined up for Saturday also and I'm going without question, I like those darker mornings to hunt in, sure I'll have to oil the gun, dry the clothes, but as cool as it's been the birds will come, disced corn, they won't take a day off from a goldmine. If you have several flocks using a field oh man I won't even bring my blind, no need, they'll be low as ever once they get over the field, not much circling etc., they want to get sat down quick. Then when I walk my limit home the rest can pile in there for Sunday morning round 2, I'm bringing 0 decoys as I don't want to burn the field off by having geese show up when I'm stacking dekes.
