JOHNBIGDOG
I'm not into guns at all. I have recently started to use my fathers Guns that were left to me. One is a Ruger MK1, I do like this pistol. Also Have a Winchester 9422 xtr, haven't shot the rifle that much compared to the pistol. Anyhow I don't hunt. I mostly target shoot or just plink. I recently was introduced to Tannerite, bought some and had a good time with it using a friends rifle. The thing is my 22's wont set the 1/2 lb targets off. I was looking around for something that is small and compact but is also accurate. This riffle caught my eye and I keep going back to it. The only thing that bothers me is I would like to handle the riffle to see if it feels right, maybe even shoot it. Anyhow anyone have any feed back on this riffle? I held a ranch version of this gun. I know its close but no cigar.
Archerysniper
I have the ranch style and love it I also have the mini 30 in 7.62X39 an it's a great shooter and cheap ammo.
nsnutter
You, my friend, sound like a candidate for a krinkov chambered in 5.45x39. If you like to plink, a .22lr can't be beat, however you can't go wrong with eastern bloc mil surp ammo prices compared to 5.56x45. That being said, I'd love to pick up a mini-30. Personally I'd pass on the 14, but the 30 has always had my attention. If I were to invest in something specifically chambered in 5.56, I'd look into a black rifle, preferably something piston driven.
