Dale Jr. - Letter to his 16 Year Old Self

Check this out guys & gals. CBS does a little series where someone writes a letter to their 16 year old selves. Dale Jr. was up today. I found it quite touching when discussing his mother and his father, but also because he was open in discussing his fears and insecurities and growing up in his fathers shadow. Hard not to root for this guy IMO.

Jr got pretty personal there.

I cannot imagine growing up in the shadows of a great like Sr.

Then to race and have to try and do what others expect of you since your father was one of the greatest.

The to see your Father die on the same track you race and watched him race since you were knee high to a grasshopper.

One has to give credit to Jr as he has went through alot and really has his stuff together.

Yes, die to his fathers greatness I am sure that helped Jr along the way but it does keep you there unless you still want it.

One of the most sincere articles I have seen in awhile.

I agree Harvey. I have not really ever seen such an open and honest Dale Jr. in discussing some pretty personal thoughts, fears, and insecurities.
