I use 30lb fluoro all the time and still get bit off. When you commit to a hellacious hookset there is not much under 50-60lb fluoro that won't get cut like a hot knife through butter. Lately I've just used straight braid and accepted the fact that there will be occasional bite offs.

Excuse me folks, but I am baffled by something: my early post, and several others, called to your attention several types of very flexible plastic coated wire material-you tie it just like you do braid or mono. It is the solution to having pike bite off your lures.

And yet.....many posts later people are STILL talking about using various mono and braid and fluoro materials and STILL losing lures.

Doesn't anybody LISTEN anymore?

LOL. Pay attention. Stop losing lures.
