Spearing licenses cost?

i thought the cost was going down to $5 this year still says $18 onlne and was when i bought my fishing license earlier this year

The change in price is not effective until next year. There was not enough time between the legislation passing and this year’s licenses rolling out to make it work for this year. (actually, the legislation may have passed after this year’s licenses were available for purchase… I am not 100% sure on the exact timeline)

Not sure if they are going to reimburse the people who bought lifetime spearing licenses though?

Overall that is a small number of people.... but...

Description:

Valid for residents age 16 through 64 to spear from a dark house. Must have a dark house spearing license and an angling license. Spearhead there is a provision for you too something about a being handicaped
