Decoy set up question

Recommended Posts

I'm curious on what you guys think the better set up would be of these two options. I'm going to be sittinng in standing corn for cover. I can either put my decoys in a field that has been tilled smooth or in an alfalfa field. The alfalfa is a little taller than I would like but I have seen them out in it.

If there are close by each other as in shooting distance you could makke a coule of small family groups in each feild leaving a landing zone in between type of thing.

That way the Geese can decide what they want.

Well its a tough decision but I would prbably go with the plowed field and if they don't go there I didn't tell ya to hunt that spot grin

That would be my luck pick one spot and they all go to the other spot to spite me. It has happened before.

I really think the decoys would stick out a bit more in the plowed field.
