Has anyone every baked or cooked squashwed and then froze to use later?

or is there a better way to store it for later use?

Have cooked it, vacuum packed it, and froze it. Simple freezer bag would also work if using it relatively soon.....3 to 4 months. Recently(last couple years) have been doing this for my "pumpkin" pies.....way better! Suppose you could can it as well.

Thanks PB thats what I was looking for. I will be vacuum sealing so it will last for a while.
