You have to have a choke that is steel approved or steel only.

They say it is not good to shoot steel thru a older gun with a fixed full choke barrel due the expansion of the steel shot coming out of the end of the barrel.

I typically shoot a factory mod out of my gun with great results but I just pruchased a Undertaker full waterfowl choke this past weekend so I will pattern it and see how it shoots before I comit to it.

My advice would be to pattern it. Most guns will shoot bigger shot like bb more evenly dispersed and still tight out of a mod compared to full. And as stated shooting large steel shot out of a lead full choke can bulge the barrel. I actually have my best luck with bbb out of my improved cyl beretta for geese.
