Router reset

I needed to reset my wireless router and now my laptop will not find the router. What do I do???????? It said the settings does not match the router

I would probably kill the power to the router for about 30 seconds, plug it back in and try it again, if that fails, then I would hardwire to the router, login and change the settings so I know what they are for sure.

If you're still having trouble, let us know the make and model of that router.

I did the hard wire. When I loged into it and it needed a password that I had forgotten witch is why I was told to reset the router. It is a Trendnet M#TEW-432BRP. I tryed to call Trendnet but they never called back. The computer place I go to is closed on weekends

If you didn't change the password it is probably blank. Just hit submit. Or the password is on the bottom of the router. If you reset it, it went back to the default privacy. All the stuff should be in the manual, which is on a cd or the HSOforum.

A quick look online says that the default username and password is: Admin They had a capital A in Admin so it might be case sensitive.

If that doesn't work then my hunch would tell me that the router hasn't completely reset yet, you might want to hold the reset button down longer.

Thanks MN Mike.I tried it all and decided to go in the properties and I had to change the security setting. It is up and running now. Thanks again.
