Getting there I think, Got the burner to center, but had to cut out part of the wall an remove the insulation so the air fuel screen was not blocked. fires up nice. not just gota replace tin on inside of the door, get door seal an put in vents. I think

when i opperated a large smoker years back, it had a small fan inside to help keep the temp uniform throughout the smoker. just an idea since yours is good size. good luck.

Doesnt look that big and being double walled and insulated it should heat up OK.

Reinhard! How big a fan Inches across? an where did u have it mounted?

You wont need a fan in a smoker that size the vents will keep the smoke moveing. A commercial smoker is a whole different animal.

Ok, where should I place the vents?

Mine is just like the free one you got and has 2 vents on the bottom and 2 on the top sides and 1 on the top. To me that is overkill but thats the way it was made. If you have a vent on the bottom for air and one on top to controll the flow of smoke you should be fine.
