Marcum LX-6 (What no love?)

With the LX-9 catching all the media attention there's been no talk of the LX-6. Looking at the Marcum catalog turns up the little brother of the LX-7 and it has pretty much the same features except smaller screen and 3/4 target separation. Its intelligent sonar engine, can it be some sort of feature that may help battery life or power usage? That feature isnt listed on the LX-7. Its very possible with a simple write or software hack the LX-6 target separation may be re-written with the 1/2 target sep as I am assuming both units will use the same software with minor details differences. Otherwise you could say the unit is a glorified LX-5 version of the LX-7.

The LX6 is starting to look real attractive to me. Smaller size and less bulk, same features pretty much aside the 3/4 target separation. I am more interested in the graphing and vertical bar feature then the dial. Its a sure fire replacement for LX3tc and LX5 users. I can see this being picked up for 500 bones at the end of the season. Maybe even less?

Now if Marcum would drop prices on their mechanical units it would deliver a sure fire blow to Vexilar/Humminbird prices when making a decision on a budget flasher to mid top end.
