Lakemaster not showing 1 ft contours?

I just picked up the newest lakemaster chip for my Humminbird 997. The lake I am fishing is suppose to be in high definition but it is only showing 3ft contours for some reason. My father in law has an older lowrance w/ lakemaster and his map for the lake is one foot contours. So did I get a faulty chip or is there something with the settings on the Humminbird chips that I need to change to get one foot contours? I have zoomed all the way in and it is still 3 ft. Have not pulled up any other lakes yet.

which lake? Some lakes like Vermilion on the new LM chip are listed as HD, but are only 3 ft contours, where as other HD maps are 1ft.

+1. High Definition in Lakemaster terms is 1 OR 3 ft contours. So I would say you are seeing HD based on the fact you are seeing 3 ft.

The lake is pokegama in Grand Rapids. I am almost positive the older lakemaster chip for lowrance is 1 ft contours which would seem odd to me that the new humminbird chip wouldn't be 1ft contours considering the mapping of the lake has already been done.

I have a 2011 Lakemaster chip in my Humminbird 898. It shows 3 ft contours for Pokegama, as well.
