Pressured fish

Recommended Posts

So this week found me with some good action. 9 fish opened their mouth. 3 in the net including a 45". Almost all of that was early in the week. But by the end of the week the lake was full of people chucking. I had a hard time moving any fish. Everything i fished and had luck on earlier in the week had boats on it constantly the last 4 days. I did find some fresh water and moved a couple smaller fish. Does anyone have any tips now that we are into primetime for the year on turning these pressured fish? The pressure isnt going to change, so i need to.

RincRat pretty much said it. An example I would say is that instead of burning cowgirls over cabbage, throw a spinnerbait slower and get deeper into the weeds. Thinking outside of the box is key like RincRat said. These fish may follow on traditional methods, but getting them to bite is far and few between unless all the stars are aligned. Make sure you ALWAYS figure-8 with high pressured fish because more than likely half or more of your fish will come on the 8.

James, I feel your frustration. You and I fish the same water. I'm there every Fri-Sun. In 2 weeks I'll be there for the full week. In the evening its a little difficult to find a spot to fish because there's a guy fishing muskies on every spot on the lake. Those fish see a lot of pressure!
