Navionics iPad app, auto load maps?

So I just noticed something on my iPad Navionics app. If I zoom into an area it appears like the app auto downloads the detailed maps in that area without selecting the download map feature. It takes a while for it to recognize the area, but then the details start to show and the color around the area you are viewing lightens up just like when you download an area.

Anyone else notice this?

I noticed it as well after the last update. You no longer have to select an area to DL you just have to zoom in on it.

I just tried it too. That is way cool. Just make sure that if you are going where there is no cell signal that you down load before you go on your trip. Still way cool......Fish ON......
