Hanging canoe outside of garage

Looking for ideas to help mount my canoe to the ouside of the garage. I purchased some Ladder racks but those were both not strong enough nor would it hold a canoe properly.

Is there something a person could buy? anyone make a homemade version that would like to show how they did it?

Not sure how handy you are, but something like this would probably work.

I used to set my canoe on a pair of saw horses under my deck.

Looks like EMC has the idea I would think would work.

If you can, hang it on the north side, so it doesn't get so much UV exposure. If it's any type of composite material, it can get UV damaged.

If you do hang it outside on the garage make sure to check once in awhile for hornets nest. Not fun to find one while your paddling

I have pretty much the same thing Emcast shows in my garage. I used 2 x 4's to build it. About fifteen minutes and three eight footers and it was done.

Thats what I have in my garage but use it for the kayak. My canoe goes on my trailer I bought for it when not in use.
