Wish-I-Were-Fishn
I installed a new version of Chrome to fix the form attachment issue. It works great now, except it no longer remembers data entered on web forms, email subject line, etc. It does use autofill for my data, but it no longer offers suggestions for other data recently entered. For example, when writing an email I used to be able to start typing something in the subject box and it would bring up a list of previously entered info that matched. I frequently have releases from a blanket order and I email the release requests to my vendor. I used to type blanket (or even shorter) in the subject box and a list of previous entered blanket order release suggestions would appear. I could click on the one I wanted and it would fill in the subject using what I entered previously.Another example is when I ship UPS, I use their HSOforum. In the description field I could just double click on it, or start typing the description and a list of previously entered items would show. I could click on the one I want and it would autofill the item description as previously entered. I have entered info there since the new install, but it is not retaining the info.I have my autofill setting turned on and once again it is not my contact info I'm talking about here. That feature works just fine.Any thoughts?
Shack
Check to see if the forms you are filling in are "https" with the solid green bar in the URL bar/box. Many of these dis-allow auto-fill now and this update may be more sensitive to this than the previous install of Chrome. Also are trying to "auto-fill" data that was their before the update? You may need to re-import that data (hopefully it backed up) or it will have to remember it once again.
upnorth
It may have got lost on the update. Does it seem to save it if you go back again. I am thinking it doesn't but just to be clear. Here is a link to chrome's auto fill help page, not sure if you have got that far yet. There is a link to managing your auto fill data. web forms Could also look to be sure cookies are enabled. Amazing what is stored in them things. And yeah not sure that is what you are looking for, but I don't use the form stuff that much.
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
It's not really a form thing per say, more then that. I will check the cookies settings.
