Sunroof drain tubes are plugged HELP!

Recommended Posts

With the amount of rain in the last couple days you can imagine how much water came into the

cab of my truck. YIKES!

So I've narrowed it to the sunroof drains. After dropping the headliner I can see them and the run on the inside of the A-pillar and the drain somewhere inside the wheel well, but I can't find it.

So, what are some ideas for unclogging it from above. 4WE gave me a great tip to use a stiff flexible wire that a throttle cable, but I don't have anything like that. I've tried some coated electrical wire, and I think I can reach the clog, but I can't seem to push through and I'm having trouble "augering" it.

ANy thoughts? Its raining again and I have a tarp over my truck.

I like the trimmer line idea. I'll give that a shot tomorrow.

I may have made some progress as I forgot to cover it last night and there was no new water there this morning.

I do have air at work so I hope to get it cleaned out tomorrow.
