smoking catfish?

The wifey and I caught some channel cats today. I've already skinned them, and steaked them out. I want to try smoking them.

Anyone had done this yet?

I still have some dry brine left over from when I smoked my steelhead.

I just want to know what others are doing and if they think smoking catfish the same way smoking steelheads will be any good.

I used "thirdeyes" recipe last time.

You should be good to go. While I have only wet brinded them.....smoking is smoking. Keep in mind catfish don't have as much oil in them as the trout.

I just smoked some northern for a friend last weekend using the same type (dry) of cure you used. I can't believe that catfish wouldn't smoke up just as well as any other fish...
