2003 Honda Accord issue?

Recommended Posts

My 03 Accord had check engine light? I checked the code it is P0420, catalytic converter, O2 censor etc. I drove it for about a weak. Now it is idling very rough. Is there DIY fix for this? By the way, the car has very high miles about 201,000.

You can purchase a new O2 sensor and the O2 sensor removal socket and change it your self. It is not difficult to do. The O2 removal socket has a slit up the side of it to allow you to put it over the plug wire.

This is assuming the O2 sensor is bad and the catalytic converter is not fouled up.

If it has a 2.4 in it, there is a pcm reflash to correct the code. Chances of an O2 sensor correcting it are slim. If the reflash doesnt take care of it, then it will be time to replace the converter.
