Is anyone seeing spawners yet?

Cold nights might have chased them off further north. A majority of them are done down here, I caught them schooled up on weedlines already on Crystal in the metro, all spawned and skinny. Caught about 25 in 30 mins on the same cast though, was fun.

I'm guessing the next 2 weeks will be thick up north with the moon phase coming. Smallies will get going up there shortly as well, they seem to go a little later since alot of the main lake stuff they spawn on takes longer to warm up than shallow back bays largies use.

I'll be on vacation 8-16th on Leech Lake, will be a riot, run to Woman and get some smallies as well, should be thick.

Lots of males up cruising this afternoon while I was cruising around my dad's lake enjoying the 70 degree weather and little to no wind.

Did not have the fishing gear in the boat, had the wife, 2 dogs and my son.

Saw some bigger fish hanging around some wood in the water.

May try to hook them after dinner.

Could be Epic.
