Top raider or super top raider

Recommended Posts

Not a given. The STR will throw out more splash and vibration than the TR. The STR is, I believe about an inch longer is all.

Top raider has not let me down so I cannot justify spending an additional $5.00 for the STR.....I'd rather get a TR and a leader!

Good Luck!

Hey MuskieBoy,
The super topraider works better under some conditions. You can work it at a much faster pace, the double blades are great for rough water and I also like them better in current. smile.gif

On the other hand, the super in my very hummble opinion, doesn't make the same sound that the oringinal is famous for.
Plop...Plop...Plop...
I guess you can't have everything.. smile.gif

Hiya,
I'm with Ace - much prefer single tail 'pop-pop' baits in general over twin tails. Twin tails slosh and gurgle more than they pop, and if that's the effect you're going for there are other topwater styles that do that and hook fish a hell of a lot better (Topper Stoppers or Globes for example).

If you do want a double bladed bait like this, check out a LOWRider from Holcomb Tackle. Has TR/Tallywacker type blades front and back, is great in wind and waves, and it's really well built. Neat baits.

Cheers,
RK
